an observation

Went to two poetry readings last night.

The subject matter of many of the poems, and also,
much of the conversation after the readings, rein-
forced the reality that most human suffering is the
result of selfishness, pure and simple. Or should I
say impure and simple?

We're all guilty of it to some extent.

And we're all victims of it.

Damn it, it's too early in the morning to think about
this...I haven't even had breakfast yet.
